Kyra Allen Lindsey

Kyra Allen Lindsey, age 78 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Kyra was born in Deposit, New York to the late Mr. Milton and Delores (Davis) Oralls. She would work in secretarial roles for multiple companies over the years. Kyra’s free time was taken up mostly with bluegrass music. With her late husband Sam, Kyra loved getting together with friends and family and was a talented guitar player. She also enjoyed shopping.

Kyra was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Myra Williams and Vanessa Rhoden; husband: Sam Lindsey; and her sons: Timothy Phillips and Kenneth Phillips.

She is survived by her son Dwayne Phillips of Jacksonville; her sisters: Cheryl Oralls of Glen St. Mary and Holly Merrett of St. George; brother: Dennis (Elaine) Oralls of Macclenny; grandchildren: Austin, Amber, Amber, and Kenneth; as well as extended family members and bluegrass friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM. Final memorialization will be by cremation.
