Alfred Wiggins Obituary
Alfred C. Wiggins, 73 of Glen St. Mary passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at UF Health Jacksonville with his loving family surrounding him.
He was born to the late Jessie and Lucinda (Combs) Wiggins in Sanderson on February 12, 1946.
Alfred worked for over 45 years at the Register Dairy Farm and was a lifelong resident of Baker County. In his free time, he could be found fishing the creeks of the community. He also enjoyed working on cars, solving jigsaw puzzles, and watching television. From time to time, his wife, Mrs. Janie, would bring home pecans and he would shell them so she could make a delicious desert for them to enjoy.
Mr. Wiggins is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: James Wiggins, Daniel Wiggins, and Henry Wiggins; and sisters: Martha Dugger, Mary Wiggins, and Claudia Lee Wiggins.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years: Mrs. Janie Wiggins of Glen St. Mary; daughter: Lori Wiggins; sister: Ellen Gulley of California; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
The family will be receiving friends Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 10:00 am at Manntown Congregational Holiness Church, Macclenny.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am at the church with Pastor David Hodges officiating.
Mr. Wiggins will be laid to rest following the service at Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson.
