Bryson Johnson Obituary

Bryson Andrew Johnson, age 31 of Seattle, Washington and a native of Baker County passed away Friday, April 23, 2021. Bryson was born on March 5, 1990 on K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in the upper peninsula of Michigan to Mr. Carl and Tiffany (Yerby) Johnson Jr. With his family eventually settling in Baker County, Bryson would attend school here and was active in sports, including football, baseball, and tennis. He graduated with high honors, a member of the class of 2008. He then went on to attend the University of North Florida. He continued to enjoy sports later in life and was a passionate supporter of the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars football teams. He enjoyed an active life, working out and adventuring in the outdoors. He also was a fan of NASCAR. Family and friends were of utmost importance in Bryson’s life, but most important was the time he spent with his daughter Lillee.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather: Carl “Gene” Johnson Sr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his daughter: Lillee Johnson; parents: Carl and Tiffany Johnson Jr. of Macclenny; siblings: Whitney (Rene Teran) Johnson of Asheville, North Carolina and USAF Tech Sgt. Cale Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; grandparents: Shirley Johnson of Maxville and Shelby and Wanda Yerby of Macclenny; girlfriend: Allison Douglas of Seattle; as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends that he considered family.

The family will be receiving friends Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Maxville. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM with Pastor Richard Fish officiating. The family asks that everyone dress in casual attire per Bryson’s style.
