Carol Ruth O'Brien passed away Tuesday, December 28th 2021.
Mrs. O'Brien was born in Jacksonville November 16, 1939. She was raised on the Westside of Jacksonville.
Mrs. O'Brien was an accomplished, self taught pianist and vocalist. She could play any genre of music but her favorite was the old fashioned hymns that we all know and love.
She was preceded by her husband, John P. (JP) O'Brien II, sons Samuel Jackson O'Brien and John P. (Pat) O'Brien III.
Also preceding her are her parents Joseph and Laverna Johnson, brothers Warren and Edgar (Mack) Johnson.
Surviving are sons James (Holly) Powell of Jacksonville, James Rice of Jacksonville, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Also surviving is very special family friend April (Tin) Norman and family of Macclenny.
Family will have a memorial at a later date.
