Charles Laughton

Charles C. Laughton, age 48 of Sopchoppy, FL passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012. A Corrections Officer with the State of Florida, Mr. Laughton was actively involved with the Police Benevolent Association, the K-9 team of Franklin County, and was a Field Training Officer for the Department of Corrections. He enjoyed playing guitar, taking pictures, boating, spending time with his family, and being involved in his church, Christian Worship Center. He is survived by his wife: Sarah Laughton of Sopchoppy; son: Isaiah Laughton of Sopchoppy; daughters: Tina Laughton of Eastpoint, FL and Isabella Laughton of Sopchoppy; parents: Charles and Marilyn Laughton of Norfolk, NY; brother: Kevin Laughton of Norfolk, NY; sister: Penny Sue (Mike) Williams of New York; step-sons: Allen (Amy) James of Madison, CT and Joseph (Tonya) James of Apalachicola, FL. Three grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Christian Worship Center, Crawfordville, FL with Pastor Steve Taylor and Rev. Nolan Kent officiating. Burial will follow at Panacea Park Cemetery, Panacea, FL. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm Monday, August 6, 2012 at Christian Worship Center.
