Cody Hudgens Obituary

Cody Ryan Hudgens, 29 of Middleburg passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at his home.

Cody was born September 21, 1989 in Charlotte, North Carolina to his loving mother, Ms. Margie Chesser.

Cody grew up in Wingate, North Carolina, Macclenny, Jacksonville and last resided in Middleburg. He attended Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville.

Mr. Hudgens worked off and on in the restaurant industry, as well as landscaping.

In his spare time, Cody loved being outdoors. He played sports growing up, enjoyed fishing. His true passion was skateboarding. He liked movies and all genres of music, from 50's to the present. He particularly enjoyed going to the beach with his mother, where they made some of their best memories together.

He is survived by his mother, Margie Chesser of Middleburg; stepfather: Dale Pennell of Middleburg; brothers: Logan Hudgens of Gibsonville, North Carolina and Mason Hudgens of Middleburg; nephew: Chase Hudgens of Gibsonville, North Carolina; uncles: Dave Chesser of Jacksonville, Jimmy Chesser of Folkston, GA, and Gene (Jan) Chesser of Callahan; aunts: Doris Driskell of Grapevine, Texas, Wanda (Ted) Shuman of Waycross, GA, and Karleene (Ron) Talley of Tucson, Arizona; his best buddy, his dog Roscoe; numerous cousins, other family member, and friends.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
