Conard Lee Fiser, Sr.

Conard Lee “Conny” Fiser, Sr. age 92, of Macclenny went to join his beloved wife Saturday, July 30, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. Conny was born on November 14, 1929 in Harrison, Arkansas to the late Mr. Vander and Era (Gray) Fiser. He would proudly serve in the United States Army during the Korean War. Later, he was a dedicated employee for Bill Terry Buick in Jacksonville. If you drove a Buick in Baker County in this time period, Conny serviced your vehicle. He was known to lend out his family car while taking customer’s in for service. He would also work for many years for State Farm. 

Mr. Fiser was very dedicated to his church family, teaching Sunday school and serving as a deacon at First Baptist Church of Macclenny for over twenty years. He was also instrumental in the early stages of the Baker County Little League Baseball and Football league, as well as serving as the Recreation Director for the county for some time. Above all, Mr. Conny will be remembered as a quiet, hardworking, dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Leon, LV, Jack, Billy Joe, Jean, Babe, and Ann Fiser; grandson: Joel Fiser; and his beloved wife of seventy years just two weeks ago, Mrs. Frances Fay (Fraser) Fiser.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Conard (Zaida) Fiser, Jr. and Michael (Courtney) Fiser; grandchildren: Amy (Jeremy) Fiser-Cain, Michelle Fiser, Jon Fiser, Lauren Fiser, and Royce Rhoden; great-grandchildren: Lyric Murphy, Kayla Collins, Julia Fiser, Matthew Sears, Garrett Cain, Julia Cain, and Emma Cain; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Macclenny at 11:00 AM with Bro. Robert Lambright officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow and Mr. Fiser will be laid to rest beside Mrs. Fay at Manntown Cemetery.
