Cynthia Gail Davis

Cynthia Gail “Cindy” Davis, age 60 of Glen St. Mary passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Baptist Downtown Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born on August 19, 1961 in Macclenny to the late L.E. and Ellen (Malone) Parish. Cindy worked for many years as a bookkeeper and was known to be extremely organized and passionate about her work. She was always taking care of others and was a loyal friend to the end. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband: Dwight Wray Davis, Sr.

She is survived by her children: Brandon (Candace) Davis of Sanderson, Melinda (Willie Myers) Davis of Macclenny, Dwight “Pete” Davis, Jr. of Sanderson, and Lenor (Donnie) Rosier of Baldwin; grandchildren: Elijah Wray Davis, Bentley Wray Davis, Mackinley Kay Davis, Kendal Love Davis, Donnie (Stephanie) Rosier, Heather (Mitchell) Wight, Jessica Rosier, Dylan Rosier, Kason Davis, and Bryson Davis; stepmother: Carolyn Parish; sister: Belinda “Lindy” Richardson of Glen St. Mary; brother: Lee Parish of Jacksonville; half-sister: Christa Marion of Jacksonville; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Crews officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
