Davidlee Shawn Stansbury

Mr. Davidlee Shawn Stansbury, age 47 of Macclenny passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. Shawn was born in Jacksonville on August 4, 1975, and was raised by his loving grandmother, Mary Ruth. Shawn was known around Baker County for his work in the furniture business, doing repairs and deliveries. He was currently working for Gibson McDonald.

Shawn was a hardworking man and was always willing to help others. He enjoyed cooking in his spare time. He loved pulling pranks and making people laugh. He was a collector of many things but loved to collect skulls. Shawn loved to be referred to as “Grandpa Psycho” by his grandkids, and “Uncle Psycho” by his nieces and nephews. Above all, Shawn was a loyal and loving friend who will be dearly missed by family, friends, and coworkers all the same.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Mary Ruth; father: Norman Stansbury; and his son: Davidlee Alan Stansbury.

He is survived by his best friend and fiancé: Candy Wilds of Macclenny; children: Raven (Danny) Kellem of Georgia, Kali Taylor of Macclenny, and Kendalee Kreiman and Bry-anna Bodeen both of Arkansas; stepchildren: Douglas (Andrea) Wilds, Jr., Rebecca (Cameron) Thomas, and Reagan Wilds; grandchildren: Kynslee Kellem, Jacelynn Clark, Everliegh Peterson, Jax Taylor, Alexander, Maeve, Mackenzie, Michael, Skyler, and Maxton; siblings: James “Bo” Calloway of Macclenny, Brandy Horten, and Angie McDowell of North Carolina; as well as a host of close friends and extended relatives.

A Celebration of Shawn’s Life will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at 11:30 AM until the time of service. A meal will follow the conclusion of the service at the Macclenny Women’s Club.

Final memorialization will be by cremation.
