Doris Miller

Ms. Doris Miller, age 90 of Starke, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013. Born in Raiford to the late Joe and Pinkie Griffis, she was a lifelong resident of Bradford County. Ms. Miller loved attending Safe Harbor Congregational Holiness Church, where she was a member. She enjoyed gospel music, embroidery, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her sons: Paul (Mary) Miller, Stanley (Elaine) Miller, and Otha (Vicky) Miller, all of Starke; daughter: Retha (David) Hodges of Starke; long time friend: Jeanette Young of Sylvester, GA; ten grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Larry L. Miller and brothers: Ancil Griffis and Melton Griffis. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Safe Harbor Congregational Holiness Church, Starke, FL with Reverend David Hodges and Pastor Joy Thornton officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Raiford, FL. The family will receive friends 5-7:00pm, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Safe Harbor Congregational Holiness Church.
