Obituary
Dottie Marie Timmons Metcalf, age 76 of Panacea passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi on March 28, 1946 to the late Mr. Will Henry and Gervis (Smith) Timmons, an only child. She would settle in Wakulla County in the mid 70’s and would reside there for the rest of her life.
She worked most recently cleaning homes but for many years was a supporter of her husband’s work as a commercial fisherman. Together they ran a seafood market in Panacea. In her spare time, Ms. Dottie enjoyed sewing and was well known in the area for her skills.
She was preceded in death by her daughter: Gwen Sego and her beloved husband: Jerrell Metcalf.
She is survived by her children: Anthony Clay, Macon (Beverly) Metcalf, Geraldine Loy, and Becky Nocar all of Panacea, Greg (BJ) Metcalf of Ohio, and Maston (Debbie) Metcalf of Crawfordville; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous friends.
A celebration of Dottie’s life will be held at a later date. Final memorialization will be by cremation.
