Obituary
Francis Dale “Buddy” King, Jr. age 58 of Blackshear passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. Born on March 30, 1964 in Okeechobee, Buddy was the son of the late Mr. Francis and Alnita (Collins) King.
Buddy worked for many years in communications and was passionate about tower climbing until his body no longer allowed him to do so. In the last few years, he worked as a small engine mechanic for Ace Hardware in Waycross. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Buddy was a fun-loving guy who enjoyed making folks laugh. He enjoyed his rides on his motorcycle and cold drinks with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother: Mark King of Sorrento; as well as numerous close friends in Blackshear and Waycross.
A celebration of life will be held in Blackshear at a later date.
