Franklin Lamar Davis, Jr. age 34, of Jacksonville and formerly of Sanderson passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 in Jacksonville. He was born on November 14, 1986 to Mr. Franklin Davis Sr. and Mrs. Rachel Watkins. He worked for several years in the construction industry. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He loved the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Cora Lee Johns, Virgil Davis, and Linda Henley; and uncles: Pete Davis and Mike Davis.
He is survived by parents: Franklin Davis Sr. and Rachel (Richard) Harvey Jr. of Sanderson; wife: Terri Davis of Alachua; sisters: Tina (Josh) Carter of Macclenny and Jennifer Lynn Davis of Woodbine, Georgia; nieces and nephews: Makayla Byrd, Joshua Carter Jr., Trinity Carter, Bryson Mobley, Chrissy Houten, and Case Houten; aunts: Miriam Castleberry, Anita Davis and Becky Davis; as well as other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Crawford officiating. Interment will follow the service at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
