George Cope

Mr. George W. Cope, age 56 of Jacksonville, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012. Mr. Cope was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and a member of the Hecksher Drive Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his son: Houston Cope of Boston, MA; daughters: Kelly (Chance) Johnson of Macclenny and Hannah Cope of Jacksonville; granddaughter: Haley Johnson of Macclenny; brothers: Miles Cope and Johnny Cope of Jacksonville, Alton Cope of St. Augustine, and Morgan Cope of Callahan; sisters: Camile Sweezy of Georgetown, TX, Phyllis Cope of St. Augustine, Dixie Bodway, Liz Waters, Marilyn Spicer, Bobby Sheffield and Sylvia Cope all of Jacksonville. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at North Prong Cemetery in Sanderson with Carl Sheffield officiating.
