Herbert Harris, Jr.

Herbert Harris, Jr. born December 15, 1954 in Glen St. Mary died on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the age of 67 following a short battle with cancer.  Herbert, also known as “Junior”, was a lifelong resident of Glen and enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, or working outdoors. Herbert was always known for his friendly demeanor and willingness to help anyone in need.  He was preceded in death by parents Herbert and Eva Mae Crews Harris and sisters Faye Harris McCollum and Eloise Harris Crews.

Mr. Harris is survived by his loving companion Sherry Rumsey; sons: Jason Harris of Brandon, MS and Brian Harris of Glen St. Mary; six grandchildren:  Audrie Harris, Brian Harris, Kaitlyn Harris, Kaylee Rodrique, Hudson Harris, and Keenan Harris; sister Linda Harris Pifer; four nephews and one niece.

Arrangements for a celebration of life gathering for Herbert Harris will be held by the Harris family at a later published date.  The family asks that in lieu of sending flowers or cards, to please consider making a donation to Community Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation in the name of Herbert Harris, Jr.
