Jefferson Eugene Watkins

Jefferson Eugene “Jeff” Watkins, age 59 of Lake City passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville. He was born in Titusville, Pennsylvania on September 7, 1963 to the late James and Linda (Hatcher) Watkins.

Jeff was a skilled cabinet maker and enjoyed working with his hands. He was a longtime resident of Lake City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister: Margaret Schreffler.

He is survived by his siblings: Rachel (Richard) Harvey of Sanderson, Timothy (Lisa) Watkins of Hilliard, Jesse Watkins of Glen St. Mary, and James Watkins of South Florida; as well as extended family members and friends.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
