Jesse Nipper Obituary

Jesse Watson “Skip” Nipper, 44 of Sanderson passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at his residence. Skip was born in Macclenny on December 6th, 1975 to Mr. Jesse J. and Mrs. Cynthia (Holton) Nipper. Skip was a lifelong resident of Baker county, excluding his service in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Baker County High School and was a standout baseball player. Later in life, he dedicated several years to the Florida Department of Corrections, most notably at the Florida State Prison. In his free time, Skip loved the outdoors, riding around in the woods and hunting. He was an avid Florida Gator fan. Most important in Skip’s life, was his family. He loved to spend time with his grandkids. Skip loved to make others laugh and those who best knew him will remember his caring nature and that he had a heart of gold.

He leaves behind to cherish years of memories; his beloved wife Michelle Nipper of Sanderson; children: Cody (Samantha) Nipper of Glen St. Mary, Tucker Chism of Texas, Taylor Knapp of Glen St. Mary, Brooklyn Nipper of Utah, Ashli (Benjamin) Bassett of Lake City, and Daniel May of Glen St. Mary; grandchildren: Adalynn Rose Knapp and Caitlynn Nipper; mother: Cyndi (Mitt) Worthington of Macclenny; father: Jesse (Nancy) Nipper of Glen St. Mary; sisters: Jodi (John) Altman of Glen St. Mary and Brittany (Dusty) Hodges of Macclenny; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

The family will be receiving friends Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Christian Fellowship Temple.

A funeral service to honor Skip’s life will be held at 12:00 pm at Christian Fellowship Temple with Pastors Tim Thomas and David Thomas officiating.

He will be laid to rest following services at Oak Grove Cemetery.
