Johnny Barton Obituary

Johnny W. Barton, 40, of Live Oak, formerly of Macclenny, died Sunday, February 27, 2011. He was the son of Weldon "Buddy" Barton and the late Ruby Binion. He was a member of Dinkins New Congregational Methodist Church, and a plumber in the construction industry. Mr. Barton loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include wife Catina Barton of Live Oak; sons Keif Barton of Live Oak, Jesse Barton of Macclenny; daughter Emily Barton of Keystone Heights; father Weldon "Buddy" (Linda Faye) Barton of Macclenny; brothers Christopher A. (Lana) Barton of Macclenny, James W. (Lisa) Barton of Lake Butler; sister Valerie (Floyd) Crews of Macclenny; grandson Michael Alan Waters III; many other family and friends also survive. The funeral service will be held March 3 at 2:00 pm at his church with Rev. Allen Crews officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Forbes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
