Johnny Broward Johnson

Johnny Broward Johnson, 70 of Baldwin passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at Community Hospice at St. Vincent's Hospital Riverside with his family by his side.

Johnny was born on March 13, 1949 in Jacksonville to the late Mr. William M. and Lois E. (Bradley) Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Baldwin and was a 1967 graduate of Baldwin High School. He worked for many years for Crowley Maritime as a mechanic prior to retirement.

In his free time, Johnny enjoyed attending Sunday school, being a long time member of First Baptist Church of Baldwin. He also enjoyed seeing old friends at class reunion, as well as family members at family reunions. At home, he loved to watch football, racing, and wrestling.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sons: Chance (Kelly) Johnson of Macclenny and Will Johnson of Baldwin; daughters: Lisa (Kevin) Hunt of Bryceville and Angela McGowan of Ocala; brother: Delvin (Martha) Johnson of Jacksonville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will be receiving friends Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Baldwin.

A Funeral Service to honor Mr. Johnny's life will begin at 12:00 PM at the church.

He will be laid to rest following the conclusion of the service at Conner Green Cemetery, Hilliard.
