Leisa Leanne Townsend of Glen St. Mary passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023 after an extended illness at the age of 57. Born in Jacksonville, Leisa was the daughter of James “Dugan” and Margylee (Rodgers) Townsend and was a lifelong resident of Baker County. She would graduate from Baker County High School and would work multiple jobs over the years in agriculture.
Ms. Townsend lived a private life with family and close friends but did enjoy trips to the river and attending church from time to time.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her sons: Josh (Lisa) Dyer and Justin (Heather) Dyer both of Sanderson; longtime companion: Jesse Watkins of Glen St. Mary; step-children: Jeremy Morris of Gainesville and Nathan Morris of Glen St. Mary; thirteen grandchildren; sister: Brenda (Steve) Rhynehardt of Glen St. Mary; as well as extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 26, 2023.
