Linda Waters Hawkins

Linda Faye Waters Hawkins, age 64 of Jacksonville passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at UF Health Downtown. Linda was born on November 3, 1957 in Palatka to the late Herbert and Donnie Faye (Dukes) Waters, Sr. Ms. Hawkins was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the time she had to spend with her grandchildren and even more so her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping in her free time and watching her soap operas. Linda was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Herbert Waters, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband: William Hawkins of Jacksonville; daughters: Krystal (William Wrenn) Waters of Jacksonville and Joy (AJ Disher) of Glen St. Mary; grandchildren: William Waters, Mari Bender, Jerriod Bender, and Connor Ricchiuto; great-grandchildren: Railyn Smith, Cameron Brown, Magi Smith, and Laylah Bender; siblings: Gary (Debbie) Waters, Wendell (Tara) Waters, and Brenda Waters; sister-in-law: Donna Waters; as well as a host of extended family members.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Elzey Chapel Cemetery at 1:00 PM with Rev. Gene Fredette officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the cemetery.
