Lindsay Galloway

Lindsay Galloway, a lifelong resident of Wakulla County passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 at his home in Spring Creek at the age of 71. Lin was born in Toronto, Canada on December 20, 1951, but was raised in St. Marks by loving parents Hugh and Rose (Beardon) Galloway.

If you knew Lin Galloway, you knew he lived to be on or around the water. He worked in marine construction building boat docks and sea walls for many years and was a skilled heavy machine operator. He loved to be out on the boat in his free time as well, fishing, oystering and shrimping. Most important to Lin, however, was family, especially his kids and grandkids. He also has a love for drag racing and was an avid FSU Football fan.

Lin was preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as two children he adored: Leigh and Darren Galloway.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy (Stevens) Galloway of Spring Creek; a son: Ralph (Chrissy) Galloway of Bowling Green, Kentucky; grandchildren: Meagan Lott, Devin Lott, Alexandrea Galloway, Damien Galloway, Kyler Lott, Dara Galloway, Harley Galloway, Emerie Galloway, Caige Galloway; great-grandchildren: Haiden Barnes, Niani Jones, Nilan Jones, and Nivaelee Harvey; as well as a great host of nieces, nephews, and in-laws who cared for him deeply.

Funeral services to honor Lin’s life will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Christian Worship Center with Rev. B.B. Barwick officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Debra Nell Cemetery where Lin will be laid to rest with his son and daughter.
