Lora Janet Proctor

Lora Janet Proctor, age 71 of Manning passed away tragically Friday, July 7, 2023. She was born in Culbert, Georgia on May 6, 1952 to the late Ms. Doris Lawhorn. Lora worked for Flint River Textiles in Albany Georgia and Northeast Florida State Hospital and retired from both.

Ms. Proctor was an animal lover. Most important in her life, above all else, were her grandchildren. “Grandma” was her favorite title.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband: Andrew “Buddy” Proctor, Sr.; and a son: Perry Gene (Shannon) Randall.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons: Carey (Amy) Randall of Raiford and Jason (Charlena) Randall of Salt Lake City, Utah; step children: Andrew (Tami) Proctor, Jr. and Lisa (Michael) Sellers both of Rehobeth, AL, Jason (Amy) Proctor and Jeffrey (Lori) Proctor both of Dothan, AL, Donna (Kenneth) McLendon of Wetumpka, AL, and Melissa Manley of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Gracie (David) Cherry, Zach Randall, Porter Randall, Morgan Randall, Alaina Randall, McKenna Randall; as well as extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Albert Starling. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
