Obituary
Mary Edna “Cookie” Bowden, age 62 of Macclenny passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent’s Southside Hospital after an extended illness. Mary was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 15, 1960 to the late Mr. Emmett and Myrtle (Foreman) Bowden. Cookie was a loving sister and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, as well as solving her puzzle books. She worked for several years in security.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister: Emily Taylor.
She is survived by her sisters: Myrtle Shook of Sioux City, Iowa and Margaret (Tom) Witt of Correctionville, Iowa; brother-in-law: Johnny Taylor of St. George; niece: Heather Harrell of St. George; nephews: Terry Harrell of St. George and Christopher Witt of Iowa; great nieces and nephews also survive.
Private interment will take place at a later date beside her mother.
