Michael Swindell

Mr. Michael Raymond Swindell Sr, age 60 of Macclenny, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013. A lifelong resident of Baker County, he was an auto mechanic who loved his work. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by: his wife of forty one years, Carolyn Swindell; sons: Michael (Flora) Swindell Jr. of Sanderson, Jay (Tommie Sue) Swindell of Glen St. Mary, Josh (Cheryl) Swindell of Taylor, and Marcus Swindell of Macclenny; daughter: Rebecca Swindell (Mark Knight) of Macclenny; brothers: Larry Swindell of St. George, GA, Bruce Swindell of Taylor, Dariel (Dee-Dee) Swindell of Glen St. Mary, and Randy (Katherine) Swindell of Taylor; sister: Bonnie (Eugene) Lindsey of Sanderson; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Joyce Combs Swindell. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Friday, February 1, 2013 at The Lord's Church, Taylor, FL with Reverend Greg Combs officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery.
