Mildred Mikell

Ms. Mildred I. Mikell, age 89, formerly of Sanderson, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012. She was a veteran of the Women's Army Corps during WWII and a retired nursing assistant. A member of Christian Fellowship Temple, Ms. Mikell enjoyed being part of the visitation ministry for the sick and shut-in and participating with the prayer chain ministry. She also loved music, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her sons: David (Kathleen) Miller and Wayne (Martha Kay) Norris both of Lake City, FL; daughter: Donna (Jerry) Hewett of Crawfordville, FL; ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, August 17, 2012 at Christian Fellowship Temple with Pastors David Thomas and Timmy Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at South Prong Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of FORBES FUNERAL HOME 259-4600.
