Mildred Washington Obituary
Mildred Ann Washington, 61 of Macclenny passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at her residence.
Born to the late Mr. James Rexford and Dollie Ann (Chalflinch) Clark on August 17, 1958 in Jacksonville, Mildred was one of ten children.
A Baker county native, Ms. Washington lived the majority of her life here, while spending some time in Jacksonville. She was a dedicated mother and wife, making sure everyone was taken care of. She enjoyed gardening in her free time, as well as watching western movies. She loved being around family, especially her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Mr. John Washington; brothers: James Clark and David Clark; and a sister: Faye Clark.
She is survived by her sons: Michael (Wandra) Stratton and George Washington all of Jacksonville, and James Clark of Macclenny; daughter: Natalya Taylor of Jacksonville; 13 grandchildren; brothers: Robert Earl Wood, Billy Jo Clark, Russell Clark, and Allen Clark all of Macclenny, and Thomas Daniel Wood of Jacksonville; sister: Shirley Clark of Macclenny; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
The family will be receiving friends Monday, November 25, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in the chapel.
She will be laid to rest following conclusion of the service at Edgewood Cemetery, Jacksonville.
