Nancy Lou Oakes, 77 of Crawfordville passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Tallahassee. Nancy was born in Kimbolton, Ohio on November 19, 1942 to the late Mr. James H. and Leota Blanche (King) Jacobs. She eventually settled in Crawfordville after she married the late Mr. Theo Oaks. She worked for several years for Rose Printing Company in Tallahassee. In her free time, she loved to attend church and gospel sings in the area. She also like to tend to her garden and work in the yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, numerous siblings, and her husband: Mr. Albert “Theo” Oaks.
She is survived by her step children: Travis (Tina) Oaks of Tallahassee, Michael Oaks of Woodstock, Georgia, John Oaks of Crawfordville, Rita Reams, and Olivia Cunningham of Quitman, Georgia; a multitude of grandchildren; sister: Marg Jacobs of Cambridge, Ohio; and numerous other family members.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
