Patricia Louise Fish

Mrs. Patricia Louise Martin Fish, age 91, of Glen St. Mary, Florida went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2022, surrounded by her family as they sang the old-time hymn “I’ve Got a Feeling that Everything is going to be alright.” She was born in Newark, Ohio on January 25, 1931, to John Frederick Martin and Martha Brownfield Martin. After moving to Florida, Patricia met her husband of 50 years, Benjamin Foy Fish. Together, they attended Taylor Church and raised a family of 6 children. Patricia enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, traveling with her sisters, baking her famous sour cream pound cakes, taking care of children, attending church, and making sure her friends had a ride to church.

Patricia is predeceased by her parents; her sisters Jean Sandbrink, Bette Schneider, and Judith Johnson; her husband, Ben; and her daughter, Sara Ann Fish Taylor.

She is survived by her children: Dennis (Sheila) Fish, Benny (Michelle) Fish, Steve (Lori) Fish, Mike (Lorinda) Fish, Tina (Wesley) Mobley; Son-in-Law, Rodney Taylor; Grandchildren, Lynn (William) Green, Quentin (Tabbatha) Taylor, Tracey (Brandon) Martin, Casey Fish, Mia Fish, Wesley (Rachael) Fish, Justin Fish, Nathan Fish, Amy (Jeremy) Fiser-Cain, Brant (Morrissa) Fish, Tyler (Lani) Mobley, Mason Mobley; 17 great-grandchildren; her sister Yvonne Newmans; and numerous, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Taylor Church with Pastor Mark Woods and Rev. Richard Fish officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM. at the church.
