Peter Lombardi Obituary
Peter Francis Lombardi, 70 of Cuyler passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side.
Mr. Lombardi was born in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Mr. Joseph and Margarett (Waylon) Lombardi on March 30, 1949.
Mr. Lombardi spent time throughout the years in Texas, New Orleans, and Tampa before settling in Baker County in 1992. He worked for many years as a carpenter, remodeling homes in the area.
When not working, Mr. Lombardi could often be found by a campfire with a cold Busch beer in his hand. He loved to tell stories by the fire and enjoyed spending that time with friends and family, listening to old country music. Over the years, Peter had numerous pets. He raised baby hawks until they were old enough to go out on their own. His favorite, however, was his pet snake, "Jake", whom he had for over 20 years.
Peter is preceded in death by his parents; brother: Michael Lombardi; and his son: Peter Lombardi Jr.
He is survived by his beloved wife, having celebrated 45 years of marriage on November 30: Mrs. Angelina Lombardi; daughters: Tiffiny York and Tessa Lombardi both of Cuyler; grandchildren: Nathan Padgett, Matthew Padgett, Christopher Lombardi, Elly York, and Aida Williams; brother: Joseph Lombardi Jr. of Springfield, Massachusetts; sisters: Joanne Jedziniak and Elizabeth Widun both of Springfield, Massachusetts; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family will be receiving friends Monday, December 9, 2019 from 11:00 am in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny.
A funeral service to honor Mr. Peter's Life will begin at 12:00 in the chapel.
He will be laid to rest following the conclusion of the service at Macedonia Cemetery.
