Rebecca Combs Williams

Rebecca Combs Williams, 61 of Glen St. Mary passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at her residence. "Becky" was born August 17, 1959 in Lake City to the late Mr. Angus J. and Cora Lee (Clark) Combs, their second daughter. She grew up and attended school in Baker County and was a resident for most of her life. Spent a few years working at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital as a clerk in the emergency room. She later moved to the Savannah, Georgia area, where she spent nearly 20 years. In Savannah, she owned her own home cleaning business, cleaning vacation rentals in Savannah. She returned to Glen St. Mary in 2010 to take care of her parents in their last years. Becky loved cooking, eating, and drinking coffee with family and friends. She enjoyed a mostly private life in recent years and loved to read and watch murder mysteries on television. Family was most important to Becky, especially her grandkids. She will be remembered by all her knew her as a sweet soul.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister: Debbie Combs Kennedy.

She leaves behind to cherish years of memories, her daughters: Delicia (Riley) Strickland of Glen St. Mary and Laura (James) Treece of Macclenny; son: Ryan Williams of Georgia; grandkids: Kelsey Strickland, Kylee Strickland, Kendall Strickland, Titus Treece, Aubrey Treece, and Avirey Treece; close friend: Shayne Scoggins; as well as numerous extended family members and friends that she made over the years.

Graveside services will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Cedar Creek Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 11:30 AM until the time of service at the cemetery.
