Richard Alexander Obituary

Richard Glen Alexander, 72 of Baldwin passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Community Hospice at St. Vincent's Riverside.

Mr. Alexander was born in Flint, Michigan to the late Mr. and Mrs. James Alexander on December 5, 1946.

Richard was a proud veteran, last stationed at Cecil Field with the United States Navy. He also spent two years with the Army, serving in Vietnam. In between his time in the military, he worked with General Motors in Michigan.

In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors, an avid golfer and fisherman. He also loved watching Florida Gator football. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous siblings.

He leaves behind his loving wife: Mrs. Sandra Hicks of Baldwin; sons: Joshua Hicks and Everett Hicks both of Baldwin, and Chris Hicks of Tampa; daughters: Amy Russell of Alford and Gina Hicks of Baldwin; grandchildren: Anna Hicks, Jenny Yonn, Tara Hicks, Riley Russell, Faith Hicks, Harper Hicks, Chloe Hicks, and Valorie Hicks; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Mr. Alexander will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date.
