Roy Arthur Rhoden

Roy Arthur Rhoden, age 57 of Glen St. Mary passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Baptist Beaches Medical Center. Mr. Rhoden was born in St. George to the late Orbey and Mildred (Gainey) Rhoden on June 14, 1964 and was a longtime resident of Baker County. Roy was a master carpenter but was really a “jack of all trades”. He loved tinkering around in his free time and loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He did what he needed to do to take care of his family and loved the time he got to spend with them. He also was a history buff.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers: David and Ray Rhoden.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mrs. Sandra (Elrod) Rhoden of Glen St. Mary; children: Ryan Rhoden of Glen St. Mary, Raymond (Kawailehua) Rhoden of Hawaii, Bradley (Stephanie Kincheloe) Clark of St. George, Matthew (Miranda) Warren of Jacksonville, Jenni (Nick) Sannady of Dinsmore, and Christina (Big Matt) Oxendine of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Robert, Erin, Katlya, Lucas, Tyson, Sophia, Jaxtyn, Maddie, Piper, and Mya; sisters: Linda (JN) Canaday of Baxter, Nancy Mayo of Glen St. Mary, and Mary (JC) Newmans of Nahunta, Georgia; as well as other extended family members and friends.

The family will be receiving friends Friday, September 17, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home. Final memorialization will be by cremation.
