Sara Lea Sizemore

Sara Lea Sizemore, age 93 of Glen St. Mary passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. She was born in Macclenny to the late Lewis and Bessie (Rowe) Fraser on May 6, 1928. One of seven siblings, Sara attended Baker County Schools and would go on to work for the school board for many years. She traveled for many years with her husband during his career in the United States Navy and together they spent fifty-seven years until his passing. Ms. Sara was a one of a kind, loving woman for would give the shirt off her back for others. She enjoyed spending time with family and always looked forward to family outings and reunions. She liked to spend time at the lake in her younger years. She also had a love for her poodles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Charles Fraser, Lois Holt, Rannie Taylor, and Marion Raulerson; and her beloved husband: Mr. Pete Sizemore.

She is survived by her daughter: Danielle Sizemore of Glen St. Mary; granddaughter: Deanna Brown; brother: Carl Brantley Fraser of Macclenny; sister: Fay (Connie) Fiser of Macclenny; neighbors and best friends: Wendy and Jack Beck; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Manntown Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. David Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Manntown Cemetery.
