Sarah Lillian Burnsed

Sarah Lillian Burnsed, age 79 of Glen St. Mary passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Macclenny Nursing and Rehab Center. Ms. Sarah was born in Macclenny on December 7, 1941 to the late Morris and Mamie (Anderson) Crews and grew up in Baldwin. She returned to Macclenny at the age of 17 when she married the love of her life, Mr. Solomon Burnsed. Sarah worked for several years in the cafeteria of Westside Elementary in Glen St. Mary. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking cakes and pies for family and friends and loved to attend family reunions. She was an active member of the Macclenny Church of God for many years and was a member of the choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Tommy Crews; sister: Irma Jean Anderson; and husband: Solomon J. Burnsed.

She is survived by her son: Jeffery Burnsed of Glen St. Mary; sisters: Betty Lyons and Mary Lee Chessman; as well as other extended family members and longtime friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to services in the chapel. Interment will follow the conclusion of services at Taylor Cemetery.
