Thelma Norman

Ms. Thelma W. Norman, age 92 of Sanderson, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012. A lifelong resident of Baker County, Ms. Norman was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, going out to eat, shopping and listening to gospel music. She is survived by her sons: Daryl (Cheryl) Norman of Glen St. Mary, Jerry (Zola) Norman of Sanderson, Auzzie Norman of Madison, Melvin (Joy) Norman of Glen St. Mary, Riley (Theresa) Norman and Reggie Norman both of Middleburg, and Kelly (April) Norman of Baldwin; daughters: Inez (Gerald) Bennett of Gainesville, Bernice (Bobby) Crawford of Glen St. Mary, and Jane (Leslie) Weathington of Sanderson; sisters: Rosa Lee Rhoden of Baldwin and Mary Lee (Ray) Bennett of Gainesville; 150-plus grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband: Carlias Norman; sons: Wilbur Norman and Eric Norman; brothers: Emory Wright and Albert Wright; and sister: Ella Wright. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Cuyler with Reverend Billy Worthington officiating. Burial will follow at Manntown Cemetery, Glen St. Mary. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Monday, June 25, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Cuyler. Arrangements are under the care and direction of FORBES FUNERAL HOME 904-259-4600.
