Vicky Strickland Tobell

Vicky Strickland Tobell, of Crawfordville passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 at Margaret Z. Dozier Hospice House in Tallahassee after an extended illness at the age of 64. She was born in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Billy Strickland and Anne (Smith) Strickland. She would work for many years with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles until her retirement.

In her time away from work, Vicky loved traveling, seeing the country, and outings for dinner with family, friends, and church family. She also enjoyed collecting lighthouses.

Vicky was very involved in her church, Christian Worship Center, in Crawfordville, and even served as an assistant pastor there. She was always willing to go the extra mile for others in need and will be remembered by those who knew her as a kind, caring, outgoing woman who had a heart for Christ.

She was preceded in death by her father and her husband of twenty-eight years: William “Bill” Tobell.

She leaves behind to carry on her legacy, her children: Ashlynn (Lee Rich) Tobell and Anna (Eldred) Robertson both of Crawfordville; step-children: Donovan (Michelle) Tobell and Jennifer (Ronnie) Stillwell all of North Carolina; mother: Anne Strickland of Crawfordville; grandchildren: Meaghan Allen, Viktoria (Ricky) Pagen, Jasper (Brook) Carroll, Asher Johnson, and Grayson Cromer; great-grandchild: Aurora Carroll; sisters: Kathy Browning and Kaye Ryals both of Crawfordville, and Faye Jones of Tallahassee; as well as extended family members, friends, and church family.

A Celebration of Vicky’s Life will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Christian Worship Center with Pastor Kenneth Taylor officiating.

Final memorialization will be by cremation.
